The Van Gilder Hotel is an ideal location for small groups and events seeking an authentic Alaskan atmosphere, in a truly historic setting. Our full service kitchen is open to guests and provides a perfect setting to prepare small meals and party trays.

For birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, intimate retreats, reunion and theme parties such as murder mysteries, the Van Gilder Hotel is ideal. Centrally located in the historic section of downtown Seward, the Van Gilder offers convenient access to the Sealife Center , most area restaurants and night clubs, as well as the museum and theatre.

Meeting and reception space consists of our Parlor and Lobby, which each hold 10-15 people. Guest rooms can be converted to meeting space with little notice, with potential seating of 10-12 people.
